Every dog is different, and requires a different training approach. Every person or family has different wants and needs out of their pet. Dog ownership is work but that work needs to be sustainable and my goal is to provide you with a customized training plan for your lifestyle that is both fun and sustainable, so that everyone can enjoy their relationship with their dog to the fullest. 

Training a dog is about building a valuable relationship with that animal. Part of what gives it value is meeting that animals needs as a dog. A custom training plan will include fun in home training exercises and real world social exposure and experience to create a calm confident dog that can handle the needs of our very human world.

The process of training your dog starts with a half hour phone consultation where we discuss your lifestyle and goals for your dog, as well as any behaviour modification that needs to take place. Upon meeting the dog it will be assessed and we will determine the root of any problem behaviours and how to address them. We will then work with the dog in real life situations and exercises will be given for homework.

It is both my job and passion to be able to explain why behaviours take place and how we can modify them to suit our needs. Some problem behaviours take longer to fix than others, and management solutions will be discussed for interm purposes, however the goal is always to fix the problem behaviours.

Trained dogs have more fun, and their owners have less stress. I can’t wait to help you along with this wonderful journey of dog ownership.
