Boarding and Training
I‘m John and I am offering my services on a full time professional basis. Over the past six years I have worked with approximately 1000 dogs in various capacities, and have found success with reactive, fearful, anxious and aggressive dogs. The so called “bad” dogs are often the best dogs of all.

The Process
Every dog is different, and requires a different training approach. Every person or family has different wants and needs out of their pet. Dog ownership is work but that work needs to be sustainable and my goal is to provide you with a customized training plan for your lifestyle that is both fun and sustainable, so that everyone can enjoy their relationship with their dog to the fullest.
Training a dog is about building a valuable relationship with that animal. Part of what gives it value is meeting that animals needs as a dog. A custom training plan will include fun in home training exercises and real world social exposure and experience to create a calm confident dog that can handle the needs of our very human world.
It is both my job and passion to be able to explain why behaviours take place and how we can modify them to suit our needs. Some problem behaviours take longer to fix than others, and management solutions will be discussed for interm purposes, however the goal is always to fix the problem behaviours.
Trained dogs have more fun, and their owners have less stress. I can’t wait to help you along with this wonderful journey of dog ownership.

Virtual Consultations
One Hour Virtual Session
One hour long virtual session via Zoom, intended for help with specific issues or for fine tuning existing behaviour.
Boarding
We are licensed and insured and ready to give your dog a great time!
Overnight Boarding
In house overnight boarding gives your dog(s) the comforts of home and an outdoor adventure. The property is over 50 acres and is fully fenced, with kilometres of trails for them to explore and clean creeks to enjoy. There are several fenced in yards and paved roads as well if your dog isn’t quite the hiking type. Reactive, fearful, and senior dogs welcome!
Multi dog boarding rates, extras, and requirements
1 dog $45/ per night
2 dogs $75/per night
3 dogs $100/ per night
pick up/drop off over 1 hour away +$20
High security/No contact +$15/night
Dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations and on flea/tick prevention.
Owners have to supply food for their dog(s)
Owners who would like their dog(s) to have long leash or swimming adventures must bring a harness for their dog(s)
Rescue Boarding rates available
Board and train packages
Board and train packages are available for behaviour modification or basic obedience. I pick the dog up and drop the dog off, and on drop off we go over all the things they have learned and their (and your) “homework”
Spaces limited!
$80 per night, 3,5, and 7 day packages available.
Dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations and on flea/tick prevention.
Owners have to supply food for their dog(s)
All dogs transported by Ruff Riders Animal Transport receive 5% off all rates/packages
